Your Data, Plainly

When you submit a quote request or contact form on this site, we collect the information you provide: your name, company name, email address, and optionally your phone number. The quote form also collects your project details (product, material, process, quantity, timeline, notes) and any files you attach. Files you attach are used only for your project and kept with its records. Portfolio use is covered in our Terms.

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising code. The Project Builder keeps your selections in your own browser while you work, and they clear when you close the tab. Our hosting provider may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots. It is not used for tracking.

We use the information you submit through our forms only to respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote, fulfill your order if you proceed, and keep the records the law requires. We also send a confirmation email to the address you provide when you submit a form, so you have a record of your request and a reference number.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes.

We use a small number of service providers to run this site and our business. Your information passes through, or is stored with, providers in these roles:

• Website hosting. Our host serves this site and receives your form submission. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abuse.
• Email delivery. A delivery service sends your submission to us and sends your confirmation email. It keeps a copy of sent messages for a limited period.
• Business email. Your submission, attachments, and order correspondence are kept in our business email system.
• Payments. A payment processor handles card and bank payments made through our invoices. Card details go to the processor, not to us.

Our bookkeeping software holds invoice records. We do not pass your information to anyone else unless the law requires it.

If you give us your mobile number on a form, or text us, we may text you about your inquiry, quote, order, and delivery. We do not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We keep form submissions and order correspondence for as long as they are useful for fulfilling or following up on your project, and for a reasonable period afterward to handle reorders or questions about past work. We do not have a fixed retention schedule, but we do not keep information indefinitely once the business reason for having it is gone.

You can ask us to delete the information you have provided at any time by emailing hello@northwindlaser.com. We will confirm the deletion. If we have an active order for you, we will explain what we need to keep until the order is complete. We cannot delete records the law requires us to keep, or copies held for a limited time in our providers' logs and backups.

There is no tracking to opt out of. Because we do not track visitors, browser Do Not Track signals require no action from us.

Form submissions travel over HTTPS, encrypted in transit. Your submission is delivered to us by email and kept in our business email system. We use reputable providers and limit access to the people who work on your order.

This site and our services are directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as our practices change. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised. We will not reduce your rights under a prior version without telling you.
